The choir has existed since 1996. It specializes in Gregorian chant, early vocal polyphony and traditional songs. The director is Sławomir Witkowski, a graduate of Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Institute of Musicology of the Jagiellonian University, and the cantor of St Jadwiga‘s parish in Chorzów. The emphasis of the choir is on liturgical singing. Apart from liturgy, the choir also performs programmes related to the course of the liturgical year, usually basing on its own research into medieval manuscripts. In 2019 they performed new composition of Marcel Pérès Mysteria Apocalypsis II.
